Bio
Born in 1997 in Italy, Dario Zanconi graduated from the master's and bachelor's degree at the Music Conservatory in Parma, each with the final result of 110/110 cum laude and special mention, studying with Prof. Andrea Padova. He studied also at the Piano Academy "Incontri con il Maestro" in Imola, with the renowned Pianist Ingrid Fliter, where he completed the three-years course. Currently he attends the "Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts" with Prof. Christopher Hinterhuber, where he received the fellowship from the SYLFF Tokyo Foundation.
He won twenty-one first prizes in national
and international piano competitions, studying from an early age with M° Denis Zardi at the music school in Lugo. Among these:
the first prize at the 3rd edition of the "Stockholm
International Music Competition" in Sweden, the "1st International Piano Competition" in
Empoli, the "Giulio Rospigliosi" in Lamporecchio, the "Nuovi
Orizzonti" in Arezzo, the "Città di Albenga Maria Silvia Folco", the "Esecuzione
musicale Città di Riccione", the international "Baldi Competition" in Bologna, "Premio
Crescendo Città di Firenze".
He specialized with internationally
renowned pianists, such as Boris Berman, Daniel Rivera, Boris Petrushankij,
Andrea Lucchesini, Pietro de Maria and Benedetto Lupo, attending several
masterclasses.
He had piano as a soloist with renowned
orchestras such as the Arturo Toscanini Philharmonic Orchestra, Young European
Musicians Orchestra, Webern Sinfonietta, JSO Jugend Symphonie Orchester Tulln,
and Pro Arte Orchestra, on which occasions he collaborated with conductor as
Yuga Cohler, Matteo Parmeggiani, Hans-Peter Manser, Davorin Mori, Rodrigo
Samano etc.
Among all he played for the most
prestigious concert seasons and festival, as the Festspiele Reichenau, Ö1
Konzerte, Camerata Musicale Barese in Bari, Maggio della Musica in Neapel,
Emilia Romagna Festival, Piano City in Mailand, Teatro Comunale in Bologna etc.
and debuted in important theatres in Europe, such as the Radio Kulturhaus in
Vienna, Parliament in Vienna, Auditorium Paganini in Parma, etc.
